Marathon Des Sables

The Marathon des Sables (MDS) is an event designed to be accessible to people of all levels, allowing anyone to participate and reach the finish line. Divided into three stages, the course can be completed either walking or running, offering flexibility for participants to choose their own pace. The available distances range from 70, 100, to 120 kilometers, with the option to select the format upon registration and adjust it until the day of the event. The stages are distributed into a first leg of 25 km, a second stage of 20, 40, or 60 km, and a final stage of 25 km. With a minimum speed requirement of 3.5 km/h, which corresponds to a very slow walking pace, the MDS is accessible to most participants.
