The Sleeping Beauty

El Palacio de Congresos de Fuerteventura opens the year with a majestic staging of Sleeping Beauty, performed by the Ballet Clásico de Cuba under the direction of Laura Alonso, daughter of the renowned Alicia and Fernando Alonso. This classic tells the story of Princess Aurora, who is cursed by the fairy Carabosse at her christening to fall into an eternal sleep on her sixteenth birthday. However, the kind fairy Lilac alters the curse, allowing Aurora to awaken only with a prince's kiss. The story concludes with the wedding of Aurora and Prince Desiré, surrounded by fairy tale characters in a charming finale.
