The Auditorio Insular de Fuerteventura presents Las Bodas del Fígaro, a satire set in 1962, where the newly appointed Capitán General and his wife must navigate the strict rules of the Francoist regime. At the Fígaro Cabaret, the company Los Cancán is about to premiere La Boda, a play that openly criticizes the dictatorship. Accused of being a "nest of reds," the General decides to attend a rehearsal, where he becomes entangled in a romantic escapade with the star performer, Susana Maninidra, unleashing a vaudeville of intrigue and deception. Directed by Mario Vega, the production features a stellar cast and a live orchestra, blending comedy, music, and drama in a dazzling setting of feathers and sequins.
