Puerto del Rosario Crossing

The premium stage of the Copa de Canarias, Travesía Puerto del Rosario, is part of the Copa Canaria de Aguas Abiertas, covering a distance of 2.3 km. The competition starts at Playa de Los Pozos and finishes at Playa Blanca, near Hotel El Mirador. The difficulty of the crossing varies: it is medium/high difficulty in adverse weather conditions, while it is relatively easy for novice swimmers if the weather and sea conditions are favorable, as the swim is only 2,200 meters with a current in their favor. At the end of the event, trophies will be awarded, and a party will be held in the halls of Hotel El Mirador.
