Festivities of San Miguel Arcángel

The Fiestas Juradas de San Miguel Arcángel, rooted in the year 1740 during the war between Spain and England, are celebrated in Tuineje on the island of Fuerteventura. These festivities commemorate a historical period when the town suffered two attacks by English corsairs, one in October and another in November. Recognized as a Cultural Heritage Site, the celebrations have been highlighted as events of national and regional tourist interest.
