Festivities of San Miguel Arcángel

The Juradas de San Miguel Arcángel Festival, rooted in the year 1740 during the war between Spain and England, is celebrated in Tuineje on the island of Fuerteventura. These festivities commemorate a historical period when the town suffered two attacks by English privateers, one in October and another in November. Recognized as a Cultural Heritage of Interest, the festival has been highlighted as a tourist attraction both nationally and regionally.
